Because of the demonstrated educational value of The American Legion Evergreen Boys State program, The American Legion Evergreen Boys State Board of Directors are able to offer university tuition scholarships to approximately 1 in 50 Citizens attending Evergreen Boys State, based on the number attending annually. Scholarships are provided through the National Samsung Scholar program and gifts to the Evergreen Boys State Foundation.

Many Universities as well as Military Academy applications actually request information on the attendance of an American Legion Boys State. The programs are on the list of recommended programs activities of the National Association of Secondary Principals.

Evergreen Boys State is now offering 4 transferable freshman elective credits for attending The American Legion Evergreen Boys State in 2007. The credits are at the expense of the student and are not included in the Evergreen Boys State program sponsor fee or the registration fee.
