Join the Association Today
Dear Evergreen Boys State Alumni and Friends,
I'd like to invite you to join the Evergreen Boys State Alumni Association. The primary mission of the association is to provide ongoing support for the terrific program we all took part in and build a network of friends and business associates who all share a common experience.
The American Legion has dedicated itself for decades to providing this extraordinary opportunity for young men all across Washington, but now they need our help and support. The program needs our financial support and our volunteer time to promote and build upon past success.
There are several ways you can get involved and help. The greatest help is in making a donation to the Evergreen Boys State Foundation to help sponsor a student to attend. Costs of the program have increased significantly in recent years. Legion Posts strive to send every student who applies, but financial concerns are always an issue. A $275 donation would allow another student to share in the experience that we all had. There are also several opportunities for major sponsorships to help underwrite portions of the program and promote your business.
You might even consider donating to a permanent scholarship fund through the Evergreen Boys State Foundation to help provide a variety of college scholarships awarded every year to outstanding students who participate in the program and excel in specific ways.
You can also volunteer your time to help promote and facilitate the program. We would welcome you hosting an informational session at a local high school and working to recruit students to participate. It also takes a tremendous commitment by on-site staff to run the program. Please take a minute to visit the volunteer page of this site by following the link above.
Thanks for visiting the website and I hope you'll join me today.
