The American Legion National Commander Martin F. Conatser was thrilled to be visiting the great State of Evergreen Wednesday. The delegates soon found out that the title of National Commander truly means that he is the number one veteran. Commander Conatser hails from Illinois, which was home to the first Boy's State. He is a man of the people serving previously as a Sergeant Major in the Army and now as the National Commander of The American Legion.

Commander Conatser showed his wits as he actively participated in the Town Hall Meeting Wednesday morning. The questions varied form current issues facing the United States and the great State of Washington. The topics rangedfrom illegal immigration to the emerging energy crisis.

Commander Martin F. Conatser is an advocate for all the Veterans in America and Boy's State as a whole.

Here at Evergreen Boy's State the delegates are truly blessed to have had a National Commander visit two years in a row.
