Judge Scott R Sparks received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington (1985) and his J.D. from the University of Oregon (1991). After passing the bar, Judge Sparks served on active duty in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps until 1994, when he returned to Ellensburg and established his own private law firm. A part-time Superior Court Commissioner form 1998 through 2003, Judge Sparks was elected in 2004 and currently presides over all Kittitas County civil cases.

Judge Sparks volunteered to explain the court system of Washington State to the citizens of Evergreen. As the Courts begin to function within the new state, each Evergreen State Superior Court Judge will need to be aware of his duties and responsibility to the Citizens of their Counties.
